The Horizontal Card Rise - £20.00

Here is an unusual idea in rising cards that is designed for the working magician.

The performer displays totally freely a deck and has two spectator’s each remove one card. The two selections are returned one at a time to the deck which is thoroughly shuffled.

The magician now says he will attempt to find the first selection with just one cut of the deck - a 1 in 52 chance of success!

Splitting the deck, the card cut to is thumbed off on to the spectator’s hand and when it is turned over, it is his freely chosen card.

Taking this selection back the performer places it face up and injogged on the top of the deck. As he slides it square with the deck, a second card mysteriously rises forwards independently out of the middle of the pack! It looks weird! Immediately the deck is fanned and the extended card removed to reveal it is the other selected card.

The gimmick which makes this card rise possible does not use threads, magnets, motors, rubber bands or any other bulky apparatus. In fact the gimmick is so thin that you can fan, ribbon spread and shuffle the deck as normal while it is in the pack.

The handling is not difficult but will require a little practice to get it up to performance standard. There is no re-set and so the effect is ideal for strolling work either at mix and mingle events or at a table side.

This comes with a special card gimmick and Bicycle deck, illustrated instructions plus a Windows Media Player video performance and explanation on CD.
