Although there are a number of ring and rope routines available, how many of them can be said to be actually entertaining to a lay audience?
The moves themselves may well be excellent, the execution of those moves by the performer flawless, but the impression left at the finish is that it was more an exhibition of skill than a rounded piece of entertainment.
THE RING COMPETITION can change all that! Here are three strong ring onto rope moves encapsulated in a comedy presentation which actually involves the whole audience! It gets them laughing, clapping and even cheering! Suddenly ring on rope is not boring any more, IT IS FUN!!
The routine is designed for stand up cabaret work and uses a length of unprepared cord and a chrome ring (approximate diameter of 5"). Each of the three ring moves is carefully described in the text booklet, which also reveals the all important patter and presentation. The separate diagram booklet has 21 line diagrams to help with learning the moves themselves, all three of which are strong and not difficult to do.
THE RING COMPETITION has been in my act for many years and has been performed countless times in all manner of different performing conditions, and it has always been well received. The presentation also lends itself to be changed to suit specific events, this being particularly helpful to those involved in Trade Show work, and it is also wonderful for children’s shows, especially where there is a large audience.
