ROPEY ROPE is a rope blendo.....plus a silk on rope.....plus a cut and restored rope! It's a classic theme with much more fun and magic added!
You start with several small pieces of rope - these you try to make into one piece but all they do is magically tie themselves together!
More magic is needed to make the knots disappear so that one long piece is left. You realise that you will also need a bandage, but you don't have one. Once again magic comes to the rescue! A knot is tied in the rope and instantly a silk appears in the knot - the bandage has arrived!
Now a youngster selects a place along the rope's length and the rope is cut at this position. The silk bandage is tied around the cut ends to tie them together. Then, with the magician holding one end of the rope and a child helper the other, the rope is pulled, the silk jumps off and the rope restores!
This 7-8 minute routine is full of business and good magical surprises. The appearance of the silk in the knot uses a new method which allows the rope to be entirely freely displayed immediately prior to the silk's appearance.
As an alternative to any other cut and restored rope routine for repeat performances this is ideal, and the routine is strong enough to appeal to a wide range range of children.
