£15.00

This stand up cabaret Jumbo Card routine is amusing, puzzling, involves the whole audience, and ends with an unexpected magical surprise!

The magician borrows £10 from a member of the audience and places it in view. He then invites the audience to join him in a kind of game show called SPOT THE DIFFERENCE in which three spectators will get the chance to win a valuable cash prize amounting to....(with a quick glance at the borrowed note)...£10.00!

A large envelope with a hole cut from its front is shown and some Jumbo cards are removed from inside. The envelope is empty and can be examined if required. The cards are openly displayed to reveal three all alike cards, say ADs, and one contrasting odd card, for instance the 10C. The performer explains that there are two versions of SPOT THE DIFFERENCE, a three card version and the more difficult four card version.

One of the Aces is shown and slipped back into the envelope ready for use later. The remaining three cards are spread to show the 10C between the two Aces. They are turned face down and two separate spectators get the chance to locate the 10C, both however failing. So far the borrowed £10 has survived!

Now comes the severest test. The third Ace is removed from the envelope and added to the other cards which are mixed slowly FACE UP! It appears the last spectator cannot fail to win, until...without warning, the 10C COMPLETELY DISAPPEARS! The other three Aces are shown back and front, with no false counts, and the 10C has simply gone! The envelope is picked up and turned round to show a card is now inside - it is the missing 10C!

Handling practice required but no false counts or sleights. The comprehensive text booklet includes a wonderful piece of recurring audience participation which creates much amusement and keeps the interest going right through the effect. Comes complete with all cards and envelope.

[This is just one of the 12 routines to be found in THE MASTER ROUTINE SERIES - COLLECTED WORKS, the 127 page hard backed book featuring 292 illustrations by James Fortune]
