A Wrinkle On - Forever Flapping Plus
Chris Payne
Have an initialled card inside the fake envelope as per the instructions. Place the envelope down, with the back of the card showing through the window and the flap towards yourself.
Pick up the pack and make a face up fan in the right hand. Do this so that the fan is held between the thumb and all four fingers except the middle finger which is able to wiggle independently under the fan!
You now patter:"You could have chosen any one of these cards, but you chose this particular card which is now in the envelope."
Pick up the envelope in the left hand, holding lightly between thumb and forefinger at the inner flap end. The envelope rests along the fingers and the left finger tips support the middle of the envelope and thus the flap.
As the above patter is spoken the fan of face up cards comes over to indicate the face down card in the envelope and in so doing completely covers the envelope for a split second. The right middle finger goes under the envelope, presses upwards and draws the chosen card out behind the fan as the hands separate.
Because of the devilish construction of the envelope, all appears as it should, so you can place the envelope down again.
Close the fan, the chosen card being squared face down beneath the face up pack. Cut the pack once and place it down. All that remains is to do that fascinating semi-visible vanish from the envelope and the transposition is revealed by ribbon spreading the pack.
