The Coin And Purse Collection

6 routines, 46 pages, 80 colour photo illustrations

In this interesting E-Book I have collected together six of my favourite routines using a standard purse and some coins. The effects featured are as follows:

The Security Pen – three coins are removed from a purse, are magically and impossibly inserted into a pen before being visibly extracted again and returned to the purse. Only three coins used, no gimmicks, completely re-sets. Can be worked in any close up commercial setting where there is a small table area available to place the purse down.

Coin Purse Surprise – a coin penetrates in and out of a purse, before two further coins magically appear inside it. The kicker finish comes when a large sponge ball is found completely filling the purse’s interior. Close up show presentation routine for working on a close up pad. No gimmicks required, just a purse, three coins and a large sponge ball.

Assembly Point – four coins are tipped out of a purse and are distributed in the four corners of a mat and are covered by playing cards. The coins are supposed to collect together in time honoured fashion under one card, but instead every one vanishes and all four are found back in the purse. Presentation piece for performance on a close up mat. A purse, some ungimmicked coins and a regular deck of cards needed.

The Robin Hood Coins Across – to the accompaniment of a story of how Robin Hood stole from the rich and gave to the poor, three coins trapped in one purse, magically transpose one at a time to a second purse. Very clean handling. You need two purses and a few ungimmicked coins to perform this close up mat feature routine.

Slo Mo – three coins are removed from a purse. One coin is taken in the left hand, one in the right, and with no visible moves the two coins are discovered together in one of the hands. Next one coin is dropped into the purse and the other two are held on the fingers. The purse is passed over the two coins and instantly one of the coins vanishes and is found inside the purse with the other coin. Finally the three coins are clearly placed into a spectator’s hand and yet you manage to magically extract one of the coins leaving just two in the helper’s fist. Three coins, a purse plus an expanded shell are required. No re-set.

Broke – three coins are tipped out of a purse which is left in full view. One at a time the coins are vanished, each time leaving the performer’s hands completely empty, and at the finish all three are found back in the purse. Regular coins and a purse required. Some wonderful clean coin vanishes are taught here. Needs to be worked on a close up mat.

All six routines have been carefully constructed to maximise the impact with the minimum of sleights. Some palming and coin vanish techniques required, but nothing advanced or very difficult.

The presentation of each routine you can watch via a link in the E-Book to online video performance footage. Then the handlings are carefully described with text and are supplemented with many colour photo illustrations.
