A powerful and baffling routine. A spectator examines a deck, shuffles it and then returns it to its case which is left in view. He then thinks of any card and writes it on a small square of paper which is folded and then has his initials put clearly on the outside.

The magician attempts to read the spectator’s mind and writes down a card name on another piece of paper and also a number which he says will hopefully be the card’s position from the top of the shuffled deck.

Another spectator reads out the magician’s prediction – and the card name is indeed the one the spectator thought of! And when the deck is dealt down to the performer’s predicted number, the actual selected card is even in the predicted position!
